This Sunday we welcome Esher to Shaftesbury Park.
Through all historic fixtures with them they are unbeaten by us, and our first meeting in National 1 didn't go to plan as they racked up 50 points against us as we came away with a solitary losing bonus point from the London ground.
This week they are at our house, and we are hoping that the team that put in a 14 man effort against DMP on the road last weekend are still fired up and ready to upset the visitors record.
Esher arrive on a 3 loss run one place below us in the league (12th) and 6 points behind, so it really is all to play for.
They are a strong side both home and away, and have already put both Birmingham and Rosslyn Park to the sword this season amassing just shy of 90 points across the 2 games.
Players to watch
There are 4 players of note as Esher regulars.
James Botterill and Henry Mortimer are the top try scorers for the visitors.
With an Exeter University pedigree, winger, James has been a solid Esherman for the past 3 seasons and has a history of stretching any defence.
Dynamic young BUCS scrum half Mortimer has only one season at Esher, but he is already amassing an incredible points tally.
Sam Morley, Flyhalf, is another dedicated Esherman. Coming from Plymouth Albion in the 21/22 season, he really has found his place behind the tee. It will be imperative for the Crusaders to watch the width that these guys can develop.
