Match Preview

Baz Johnson7 Feb - 17:24

Richmond currently sit one point behind the leaders Rams and with only 4 losses this season, will be another tough challenge on the road for the Crusaders.
It was Sale who put the cat amongst the pigeons at the end of January, taking 5 points from Richmond who went home, as Alexander Armstrong would say, Pointless.
It's not distance that has and effect on Richmond however, as they took 5 from their encounter at bottom placed Darlington Mowden Park last week.

Head of Rugby, Rob Powell has made some interesting new signings since Christmas, and it will be a much changed side since their visit to a very quiet Shaftesbury Park where we held them to a 31-31 draw, which we should have taken the spoils from.
I guess the music can make a difference eh fellas?

Richmonds New signing Tololima Savaiinaea is one to watch for sure, leading the team last time out in dominant tackles, with a good record in carries too.
A physical player in defence, and line break ability could be dangerous for Dings defence.
Speaking of defence, this is where Richmond are heavyweights. Their record of holding the line is the reason that they are challenging for promotion the season.
Top Try Scorer Chidera Obonna from the wing and dynamic scrum half Alex Schwarz are also players to keep an eye on.

With familiar faces such as Sol Taufa missing this week, we welcome some new faces too.
Alex Ashton joins us from Ospreys, this young open side flankers debuts today.
On the bench is hooker Tom Lindsay, Currently our Championship Womens Head Coach, Saxon and ex Bear excited to be returning to club rugby.
