Another weekend gone and nearly at the end of the season. Here are all the updates from across the club

Our Crusaders, although remaining in Nat 1, suffered a tough defeat on the road.
With successes through the Minis and Junior sections, our teams of the week were published yesterday.

Today we look forward to Thursday, and our Knights promotion fixture at The Prince of Wales Stadium in Cheltenham
Simon Knights men will take on the winner of Gloucester counties 2 North, unbeaten all season, Smiths Rugby.
It should be an enthralling game, and we hope to see as many of you there as possible to support our boys.

This week, I caught up with the girls section.
Lots to report from there.

For our U14s girls, the current season has been one of growth, determination, and strong team spirit. The girls have shown impressive dedication both in training and on the field, resulting in notable improvements in teamwork, fitness, and their game.

Although the results haven’t always reflected our efforts, every match has been a valuable step forward in our growth as a team. With each game, we’ve developed greater cohesion, resilience, and understanding of the game — progress that goes beyond the scoreboard. One of the standout moments of the season was our tour, which not only brought the team closer together but also gave the players a chance to test themselves in new environments and against strong opposition, coming away with a win!

This season has already been a testament to the girls’ hard work and passion for rugby. With continued focus and determination, the team is well-positioned to end the play-offs on 27th April & the season on a high note.
Competing at the Bristol Junior Combination X7s tournament on Sunday, they played some of their best rugby all season.

The U16s girls team has enjoyed a truly outstanding season, remaining unbeaten in the league and proudly crowned GRFU League Champions. Their exceptional teamwork, skill, and determination have not only led to consistent success throughout the season but have also earned them a well-deserved place in the RFU National Cup Final, set to take place on 4th May at the prestigious Sixways Stadium.

Competing as one of the top two teams in the country, the girls have demonstrated remarkable commitment, resilience, and passion both on and off the field. From the very first whistle to the final try, every player has played a vital role in this incredible journey. Their unity, sportsmanship, and drive have inspired all who’ve supported them along the way.

The upcoming final promises to be a fitting showcase of their hard work and talent, and we couldn’t be prouder of all they have achieved so far. Whatever the outcome, they’ve already made history—and this is just the beginning.

Our U18 girls go from strength to strength.
They have just been confirmed as league champions this season, and very narrowly missed out on a place in the national cup final with a draw in the last game, with only the intricate rulings of the cup holding them back.

With some incredible performances across the board, and many county successes, tomorrow 4 of our girls will be representing Dings at the England U18 PDG festival in Stoke on Trent. They are Fliss Archer, Olivia Bromiley, Roxy Macdonald and Martha Pitman.
With full England U18 honours, Maisie Masquelier and Hannah Smyth will be playing in the 6 nations again today. Good luck to them all.

With it being Easter weekend, a lot of the Mini and Junior teams have a weekend off.
The only game going ahead is the Under 11s who head to Keynsham on Sunday.

Places are selling fast for the last game of the season. If you would like to book hospitality, you can do it HERE

I'll be back with the team sheet for Thursday as soon as I have it.
Until then
Up the Dings
Baz
