Rotherham Back Rower John Okafor was instrumental in the win over Dings Crusaders as he scored a hat trick giving the Titans their best display this season, earning a the player of the match performance.
Wary of the visitors, Rotherham knew the threats that Dings possess, but their attack was nullified for long periods by Harvey Biljons team, who are now 4 from 5 having returned to Nat 1 this season from Nat 2N.

"We had a really good balance today," said Biljon, the South African approaching his first anniversary with the Titans.
"Dings have threats across their front row all the way to their back three, and I'm really chuffed we kept them to three tries and with the composure, concentration and control we showed."

Dings started strongly however, as they took the first score of the game, rewarded with a pushover try from hooker Tomos Gwilliam, converted by Tom Knight.
But Rotherham took a stranglehold and rarely let go after that.

Okafor seized on a loose ball and blasted through to score from 20 metres and then put the finishing touch to some patient work from the home pack while Dings were down to 14 men through a yellow card for Tom Foot.
With a conversion and a penalty from Lloyd Hayes, Rotherham led 15-7.

Even with Dings restored to 15, Okafor was unstoppable. Не started and finished an attacking move and then scattered bodies on another surge to the line to complete his hat-trick.
Hayes' conversion gave Titans a 22-7 lead at half time.

Dings needed to score first in the second half, Instead it was Rotherham who were dominant with the home pack bringing their weight to bear, gifting their number 8 Callum Bustin the bonus point try. Hayes again adding 2 with a further penalty, the Titans were 25 points ahead with what now looked like a 19th straight home win.

As the last 10 minutes arrived, it was Deago Bailey with the creative line that added to the Crusaders points tally, with Sam Edwards getting his name on the score sheet as he converted on his debut for Dings.

The Titans weren’t finished though as a mauling try for Loma Kivalu and Hayes doing more damage with the conversion and two penalties before Dings played through the hands to put in Sol Taufa for a consolation score.

Added Biljon: "We've spoken about playing for the full 80 minutes and although the group is not perfect yet, I'm pleased with our progress. There's room for improvement and we left a few points out there; we've got to get better."
